Sarah, You are an inspiration! Thank you for all your hard work in planning this wonderful walking group. I really enjoyed walking with Rosie Brunker. She thought she could make it to the red fire hydrant, then when we got there she said lets go to the telephone pole. She seemed so happy to be outdoors with friends. Rosie told me her normal time on the treadmill at home, and when she realized she went above it by a few minutes today, she was very proud!! WAY TO GO ROSIE!! I enjoyed watching the joy on everyone’s face when they crossed the finish line! Cindy
Hello SIA Team! Completed my first food journal, haven't done that in such a long time... feels good to be accountable and to have to write down that I ate 1/4 cup of chocolate chips, writing it down made me more committed to not return for more and holding on to the fact I do not want to write it down in tomorrows journal. Stopped and saw Jenn today, her family is sick, so I didn't get to go over any of the Journal and info, I will talk to her tomorrow. Stopped and talked to Robin Silver, she has exercise bands and a hook to place on the top of a door... it looked really interesting, something I could get into! She found this at Wal-mart on clearance for $1.00!! 2 handled bands, different sizes and the hook! Heidi seems excited about joining the walking group, she wasn't home to go over the paperwork, plan to call her tomorrow. Have a wonderful week-end! Cindy
I won't do -- I can't do -- I don't know how to do -- I wish I could do -- What should I do -- I think I might do -- I think I can do -- I can do -- I will do -- I did do -- I DID IT! I DID IT! I DID IT!
I took my 3&4 yr olds for a trike hike! We hit every mud puddle out there and it was a slow go. Later I tried again,trot/walking and dancing/boxing the whole way. UNTIL.... I started reciting "LIONS,TIGERS,&BEARS! OH MY!" It had gotten dark, and 1.5 miles later I called my sweetie to come get me! I am amazed at how my Opera and Enrique Iglesias loaded into my son's MP3 player motivated me to really step up the pace without any pain! I had fun dancing around in the dark where no one could see me!
That is really cute Judy! Some days I'm really not up to "It", low energy, or life is crazy, no time to fit it all in, instead of feeling like a failure I remind myself I did what I could do for today.
Michelle, You are spunky! You are teaching us how having fun while working out is good for the soul. I think I might dare myself to try dancing and boxing while outside for a walk or run.
I have used a food journal for the past few days, seems to helping.
Isaiah and I did our workout while running errands today. He was a great workout buddy. What I am giving upin my diet- the kids scraps. No more eating food just so it won't go to waste.
Sunday April 3rd and Tuesday April 5th Robin walked. It felt good to get out into the fresh air. Even if I didn't feel like walking, I put on my shoes and went out the door! Also, I've been good this week about walking right past the candy aisle at my store. Instead I had trail mix and dried fruit. Also, I will start my crunches tonight, Thanks for encouraging me!
That's awesome, Robin! Good for you ... I would have a tough time having chocolate so easily accessible! You're so strong to walk right past it ... keep it up. You will get stronger and stronger every day!
I walked again today, with the dog....not really a fast paced walk, but since it was so cold outside, it was almost fast paced...lol. Did my crunches ,stretches, etc.

ReplyDeleteFound out another way to figure milage, by using directions on mapquest. It will tell you your distance.
ReplyDeleteI finally did the one mile block today. Not the fastest walk, but relaxing and enjoyed the fresh air.
ReplyDeleteCori, thanks for the tip on mileage. Robin, great work ... the fresh is wonderful!
